Welcome on the Website of M.P. Belaieff

The repertoire of M.P. Belaieff ranges from Russian classics such as Alexander Borodin, Michael Glinka or Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov via important works from the Soviet era such as those by Alexander Glazunov to contemporary music and orchestral works by Alexander and Ivan Tcherepnin, Arvo Paert and Valentin Silvestrov.

In our web shop we offer a wide range of sheet music on sales and on hire as well as music books: sheet music for several instrumentations, scores, piano reductions and librettos.

In 1884, the Russian music lover and patron Mitrofan Petrovich Belaieff (1836-1903) set up a foundation for the encouragement of young Russian composers in St. Petersburg. A year later, Belaieff was granted permission to pursue "the trade of music publisher-dealer" in Leipzig. Thus, the foundation was laid for two institutions which can be said without exaggeration to have gone down in music history: The foundation and the publishing house M.P. Belaieff.

You will find full details of all these works on our website, and we will send you for free a full catalogue and selected composer catalogues on request. You can download the catalogue here.
